Advice on Upgrading My Gaming Rig – GPU or CPU First?
Hi everyone,
I am looking to upgrade my gaming PC and need some advice. My current setup is a bit dated, and I want to focus on getting the best performance for modern games. Here's what I have:
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti
RAM: 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz)
Motherboard: MSI Z390-A PRO
I mostly play games like Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Call of Duty: Warzone. Right now, I am stuck at medium settings for decent FPS but I would love to hit ultra settings at 1080p with smooth performance.
My budget allows me to upgrade either the CPU or GPU first, not both. Should I aim for a newer GPU like the RTX 4060 or 4070..., or is my CPU going to bottleneck the system too much if I go that route: ??
Would appreciate insights or recommendations from those with similar setups !!
